How We Research Products
We do not physically test the products we cover. Our guides are desk research: we compare what manufacturers publish and explain the trade-offs so you can shortlist faster.
What We Look At
- Manufacturer specifications — dimensions, capacity, materials, power source, app features and warranty terms.
- Fit for the job — the size, weight or age range a product is designed for, and the situations it suits.
- Ownership effort and cost — cleaning, refills, filters, subscriptions and other ongoing costs listed by the maker or retailer.
- Product links — we remove links that do not lead to the product we name, and we add links back only after checking them against Amazon’s catalog.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not run hands-on or lab tests.
- Our guides are general information, not veterinary, nutrition or medical advice. Please ask your veterinarian about your pet’s diet and health.
- We do not accept payment for placement in our guides.
Keeping Guides Current
We review guides to fix errors and remove product links that do not lead to the product we name. If you spot a mistake, please contact us.
